Policy for Registered Sex Offenders

Purpose:

The Wynne Sports Commission hereinafter referred to as “WSC” accepts as central to its mission, the establishment and maintenance of a safe environment for every child present at the “WSC” complex. Knowing that children are at risk, not yet having the ability to protect themselves, we determine to provide protection for them by careful monitoring of any Registered Sex Offender or persons arrested and charged with a crime against a child from participating in the capacity of a coach, assistant coach, team aid, or spectator of the “WSC” program.   The “WSC” is implementing the following policy with regard to the presence of Registered Sex Offenders or persons arrested and charged with a crime against a child on the “WSC” complex.

Policy:

1) No Registered Sex Offender or persons arrested and charged with a crime against a child shall be allowed inside the interior perimeter fence during the “WSC” scheduled season;

2) In the event that a Registered Sex Offender or persons arrested and charged with a crime against a child has a minor child playing a game and visibility can not be obtained from outside the inner parameter fence, he/she must contact the “WSC” through any commissioner twenty-four (24) hours prior to game time and request permission to attend by the “WSC”;

3) Any Registered Sex Offender or persons arrested and charged with a crime against a child herein after referred to as “Alleged Offender” must sign an agreement to adhere to the following requirements for participation in “WSC” league program;

                      Alleged Offendermust be physically accompanied at all times by an

                        agreed upon, trustworthy member designated by the “WSC” while on the

                        sports complex or attending sports activities off of the complex, that are

                        sponsored or supervised by “WSC”,  where children may be present;  

         Alleged Offenderis not permitted to be involved in any children’s activities that are sponsored or supervised by “WSC”;

                      Alleged Offenderis not permitted to be in the practice area, dug out, or

                        on the playing field, or other areas where children’s activities, that are

                        sponsored or supervised by “WSC”, usually take place; 

4) Ongoing and full disclosure to the “WSC” members of identity of Alleged Offender, until such time as is no longer deemed necessary.

5) Any persons found in violation of the above requirements shall be subject to immediate ejection from the property and criminally charged with Criminal Trespassing.
